- RAIS: Real-time Analytics for the Internet of Sports. Funded by the European Commission.

Closing date: every month, until 31/12/2019, or until a sufficient number of good candidates are found;

- The positions are for three (3) years. The positions are funded by the European Commission under
the Marie Curie Initial Training Network (ITN) program RAIS, which focuses on the design of
decentralized, scalable and secure collective awareness platforms for real-time data analytics and
machine learning, which preserve end-user privacy and information ownership. The first position
is for Mitigation of Cyberattacks in Wearable Devices and the second position is for Decentralized
Privacy-preserving Data Sharing. The RAIS consortium aspires to establish a fertile multidisciplinary
research and innovation community with strong entrepreneurial culture that will advance
wearable sport-sensing and quantified-self devices and accompanying middleware.
The main objective of the RAIS Initial Training Network is to provide world class training for a next
generation of researchers, data scientists, and Web engineers, emphasizing on a strong
combination of advanced understanding in both theoretical and experimental approaches,
methodologies and tools that are required to develop Decentralized Platforms for Real-Time Data
- Required qualifications:
o University degree in Computer Science and/or Engineering or related fields;
o Master Degree in Computer Science, security and privacy or a related field;
o Prior research experience in the field of cyber security and privacy;
o Experience with European research projects;
o Willingness and ability to work cooperatively within a team, to learn, and to adapt to the
o Excellent knowledge of English;
- Desired qualifications:
Knowledge of and/or experience in and/or strong interest to learn one or more of the following:
o Research track record and publications in the fields of security and privacy;
o Experience in EU funded collaborative research and innovation projects in the area of
security and privacy;
- Eligibility Criteria:
o The applicants must have less than 4 years of full-time research experience after obtaining
o At the time of recruitment by the FORTH, the applicants must not have resided or carried
out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Greece for more than 12 months in the 3
years immediately prior to the reference date.
